David Almeida is a New York-based photographer specializing in landscape, architecture, and fine art photography. He has over twenty years experience in the museum and heritage sector including full-time roles at MoMA, the Wolfsonian-FIU, and the University of Miami, Richter Library. Clients have included museums, galleries, auction houses, collectors and artists including Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, 21C Museum Hotels, High Museum of Art, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO), Heckscher Museum of Art, Art Basel Miami Beach fairs Untitled and X Contemporary, White Cube, David Kordansky, and Museo Del Barrio.
David's formal training was in traditional analog photography with a focus on medium and large format. Today, he focuses on digital photography using high-end digital equipment and software. His work has been published in journals and magazines such as Architectural Digest, Hyperallergic, Antiques and Fine Art magazine, The Art Newspaper, Oud Holland, and in various publications for MoMA, the Wolfsonian-FIU, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Planting Fields Foundation, and The Cultural Landscape Foundation.
